Funeral services for Levoner Bonner, 70, of Waynesboro, will be at 11 
a.m. from St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. John K. Gray 
officiating. Visitation will be from 12-6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026 
from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Bonner 
Cemetery.

Born on July 2, 1956, he was an Assistant Foreman with Hood Industries.

He died on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026 at Wayne General Hospital.

BETTY JEAN (OVERSTREET) BUSBY

Jan. 2, 1939-Aug. 21, 2026

Funeral services for Betty Jean (Overstreet) Busby, 87, of Strengthford, 
were conducted on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026 from Strengthford First Baptist 
Church in Laurel, with Rev. Bobby Boutwell and Rev. Ken Walters 
officiating.

Interment followed at Strengthford Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne 
County.

Born in Strengthford on Monday, Jan. 2, 1939 to the late Curtis and 
Lizzie Overstreet, she attended Pleasant Grove and Strengthford schools. 
She worked at Wells Lamont and then received her cosmetology license and 
worked in a small beauty shop at her home. She enjoyed gardening, 
quilting and loved sharing her quilts with her family. Her greatest joy 
was cooking for her children, grandchildren and anyone who visited her.

Betty taught Sunday School and V.B.S. She was a faithful and devoted 
member of Strengthford First Baptist Church for many years. She had an 
unwavering faith and was an outspoken witness for the Lord.

She died on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026 at ComfortCare Nursing Center in 
Laurel.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Allen and Cindy 
Busby and Danny Patrick and Rachel Busby, all of Strengthford; her 
daughter, Sheila Busby Reynolds of Laurel; her grandchildren and their 
respective spouses, Joanna Marie Busby and Garrett Ashley of Opelika, 
Ala., Sheila Danielle Busby and Jonathan Kelly of Laurel, Sally Danise 
Sanders of Flora and Samantha Jo Busby of Jackson; two 
great-grandchildren, Della Rene Kelly of Laurel and Dawson Cooper 
Sanders of Flora; two sisters, Daisy Carlisle and Dorothy Overstreet, 
both of Strengthford; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton "Bud" Busby; her 
parents, Curtis and Lizzie Overstreet; her son-in-law, Lonnie Ray 
Reynolds; her grandson, Lonnie Ray Reynolds II; and two sisters, Barbara 
Combs and Ruby Busby.

Pallbearers were Garrett Ashley, Jonathan Kelly, Albert Busby, Martin 
Busby, J.C. Carlisle and Jimmy Ray Carlisle.

BELENDA WEBB

Feb. 19, 1952-Aug. 14, 2026

A memorial service for Belenda Webb, 74, of Waynesboro, was conducted on 
Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026 from West Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1952 to Vernon "Venoyia" Vinson 
and Joyce Pitts Vinson, she worked as a Legal Secretary for many years.

She died on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026 in Waynesboro.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce Vinson of Mobile, Ala.; two 
grandchildren, Kayla Noel Evangelista of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dalton Cade 
Webb of Raymond; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Keith 
Patrick of Mobile, Terry and Gwyn Howard of Mobile, Tammy and Donald 
Sellers of Waynesboro and Remonia and Jimmy Walker of Mobile; her 
daughter-in-law, Rhonda Perkins; and three great-grandchildren, Emery 
Evangelista, Easton Evangelista and Eva Evangelista.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon "Venoyia" Vinson and her 
beloved son, Jason Vincent Webb.

Aug. 31, 1969-Aug. 11, 2026

Funeral services for James Albert Riley, Jr., 56, of Quitman, were 
conducted on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026 from First Church of the Nazarene in 
Quitman, with Rev. Donald K. Boyd officiating.

Interment followed at Little Zion Cemetery in Stonewall.

Born on Aug. 31, 1969, he was a Custodian at Quitman High School and 
also worked in the landscaping industry.

He died on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026 at his residence.

He is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Riley, David 
Riley, John Allen Riley, Bruce and Dionne Riley and Walter Riley; and 
his sisters, Diane Terrell, Mary Terrell, Crystal Riley and Monica 
Riley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

DIANE PRESLEY PIPPIN

May 20, 1956-Aug. 18, 2026

Diane Presley Pippin, 70, of Beat Four, died on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026 
at her residence.

Born on May 20, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Percy Elmer 
Presley and Ruth Alma Nash Presley. More than anything, she loved her 
family. Affectionately known as "Maw" to her grandchildren and family, 
her children and grandchildren were the center of her world and that was 
nothing she loved more than spending time with them.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love for her family could 
be seen in everything she did. Her family will always remember her 
beautiful smile, her laughter and the love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and 
Toby Whigham of Millry, Ala., Marcie and Daniel Jenkins of Waynesboro 
and Savanah and Morgan Dickey of Berlin, Penn.; her brother and 
sister-in-law, Danny R. and Becky Presley of Millry; six grandchildren 
and their respective spouses, Dillon and Allison Whigham, Daniel and 
Morgan Knight, Morgan and Gabriel Thompson, Coley Jenkins, Brennan 
Dickey and Emmalynn Dickey; her great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, 
nephews, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lavon Pippin; her 
parents, Percy Elmer Presley and Ruth Alma Nash Presley; her brothers, 
Walter J. Presley, Jerry O. Presley, Thomas Presley and Ronnie Gene 
Presley; and her sisters, Ruthie Presley, Nancy Presley Cooley and 
Patricia Presley Cooley.

To her family, she was more than Diane — she was "Maw," and being Maw 
was one of the greatest joys of her life. She leaves behind a family who 
knew without question how deeply they were loved. Although she will be 
greatly missed, the love she gave her children, grandchildren and family 
will continue through the memories they shared and the lives she 
touched.
