J.C. MCCANN
Jan. 27, 1943-July 30, 2026
Funeral services for J.C. McCann, 83, of Gretna, La., were conducted on 
Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026 from Altair Baptist Church, with Apostle Terry 
Gullage, Sr., officiating.
Interment followed at Altair Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born on Jan. 27, 1943, he worked for Boh Brothers Construction for four 
years and then as a Commercial Truck Driver for 21 years until his 
retirement. After retirement, he pursued his craftsmanship in air 
conditioning, plumbing, electrical work and construction.
He died on Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Gretna.
He is survived by his son, Kevin McCann; his daughters and sons-in-law, 
Tammy and James Jones, Linda and Alandus Scott, Keren and Anthony Ray 
Ruffin, Angelia McCann, Michelle McCann and Barbara Ann and Crawford 
Boyd; a brother-in-law, six sisters-in-law, 21 grandchildren, 28 
great-grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and 
other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Mae Arrington McCann; his 
children, Benjamin McCann and Beverly McCann; his grandchild, Kavlin 
Warner; his parents, James and Maebell McCann; his brothers, James 
McCann, Jr. and Marshall McCann; his sisters, Pauline Orange, Mary Lou 
McCann, Arlene Watts, Lessie Mae Shoemaker, Irene Ellis, Lillie B. Fikes 
and Mae Velma McCann; his maternal grandparents, Neal and Lou Carter; 
his paternal grandparents, Willie McCann and Elsas Bounds; seven 
brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and a host of other family members.
McDonald and Sons Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of 
arrangements.
CHADRICK MCCANN
Feb. 3, 1976-July 28, 2026
Funeral services for Chadrick McCann, 50, of Green, S.C., were conducted 
on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 from Altair Baptist Church in Shubuta, with Rev. 
A.L. Bartee officiating.
Interment followed at Altair Church Cemetery.
Born on Feb. 3, 1976, he worked as a Production Manager with Metromont, 
LLC.
He died on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Green.
He is survived by his wife, Tangee McCann; his mother, Lillie Ruth 
Nicholson (nee' Hodge), his siblings, Alicia McCann and Chiquita 
Allen; his beloved cousin and brother, Tavarus Hodge; his niece and 
nephews, Delaney Lewis, Davis Lewis and Lance McCann; his aunts, Lottie 
Hodge, Diann Hodge and Dennis McGowan and Marie Lang; his uncles, Larry 
and Michelene Hodge, Tommy Hodge and Roy Roberts; and a host of loving 
cousins, extended family members and dear friends who will forever 
cherish the impace he made on their lives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall McCann; his 
grandmother, Mae Bell; his uncle, J.C. "Jake" McCann; his maternal 
grandparents, Boss Hodge, Charlean Hodge Brown and Bobbi Jean Carter 
Hodge; and his paternal grandfather, James McCann.
McDonald and Sons Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of
