Funeral services for Ada Hollingshead, 94, of Millry, Ala., will be at 
12 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from Chapel Hill Baptist Church in 
Millry, with Rev. Scott Giles officiating. Visitation will be from 10 
a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from the church.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Chapel Hill 
Cemetery in Millry.
Born in Washington County, Ala., on Friday, Oct. 16, 1931, she was a 
member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She retired as an Owner and 
Operator of a poultry farm.
She died on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in 
Mobile, Ala.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Montabana of Millry; her 
granddaughter and her spouse, Michelle and Cody Milligan of Manvel, 
Texas; her nieces and nephew, Debbie Dearmon, Gail Guy, Sarah Coaker and 
Bobby Touchstone; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brian Coaker, 
Misty Mason, Brad Guy, Tameka Harpole, Gayla Patrick and Chad Guy; and a 
host of great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; James E. Hollingshead; her 
parents, Siley and Nannie Mae Touchstone; three brothers, John 
Touchstone, Joe Touchstone and Jessie Lee Touchstone; and two sisters, 
Judy McMillan and Ruby Calhoun.

Funeral services for Dewey C. Ellis, 80, of Shubuta, were conducted on 
Sunday, July 12, 2026 from Magnolia Baptist Church.
Interment followed at the church cemetery.
Born on Oct. 27, 1945, he was a retired Forklift Operator with Hood 
Industries.
He died on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Forrest General Hospital in 
Hattiesburg.

A graveside service for Alton Cason, 76, of Waynesboro, was conducted on 
Saturday, July 11, 2026 from Keahey Cemetery in Waynesboro, with Rev. 
Buddy Jones officiating.
Born in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday, Aug. 6, 1949, he retired as a 
Bucksaw Operator with Hood Industires.
He died on Friday, July 10, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his 
loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sammie Cason of 
Waynesboro; his son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Maria Cason of 
Waynesboro; his daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Tommy Lindsey of 
Aquilla, Ala.; five grandchildren and their respective spouses, Megan 
and Kyle Welch, Gage and Lia Cason, Grant and Josie Cason, Brooklyn and 
Dylan Gray and Paxton Cason; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Welch 
and Laramie Cason.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randal Cason; his mother, Kate 
Cason; three brothers and a sister.

Born on Sept. 1, 1978, he died on Monday, June 29, 2026 at his 
residence.
He is survived by his mother, Inez Sumrall.

Funeral services for Mary Lee Chapman, 80, of State Line, were conducted 
on Friday, July 3, 2026 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, with 
Rev. Fred Leverette officiating.
Born on May 6, 1946, she was a Domestic Worker.
She died on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Wayne General Hospital.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Precious 
Dorsey, Jr., Marcus and Jessica Dorsey and Antwain Chapman; her 
daughters and sons-in-law, Gracie Lee Hill and James Gray, Sandra Dorsey 
and Jessica and Anthony Daniels; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmie 
and Stephanie Hill, C.J. and Mary Hill and Morris and Sherry Hill; her 
sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Tommie Johnson, Evelyn Hill and 
Viola Spotts; and 14 grandchildren.
