Boil Water Notice for Hiwannee Water Association lifted

The Boil Water Notice for Hiwannee Water Association has been lifted.

The notice — asking customers to bring water from the tap to a rolling boil for five minutes — was issued on June 19. A line broke on the east side system, causing the boil water notice.

Residents no longer have to boil their water before using it for cooking or drinking.
