Forrest S. Daws (second from right) with the Jacob Horger Order of the
Sons of the American Revolution, presents Wayne County's Board of
Supervisors with a portrait of General Anthony "Mad Anthony" Wayne
during Monday's meeting. Wayne (1745-1796) — which Wayne County is
named in honor of — was an American Revolutionary War hero, statesman
and key military leader on the early American frontier. Known for his
fiery personality and daring battlefield tactics, his military career
fundamentally shaped the expansion and security of the early United
States. Pictured here are (left to right) Beat 1 Supervisor Hal Hayes,

Keith Clay, Daws and Beat 5 Supervisor Henry Cooley.
