Funeral services for Basil Eugene "Tony" Weaver, 78, of Waynesboro, will
be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from the Chapel of Freeman
Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Walker officiating.

Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Wayne County.
Born in Waynesboro on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1947 to the late Basil Eugene
"Shine" Weaver, Sr., and Dorothy Jean "Dotty Jean" Weaver, he was a
member of Wayne Haven United Methodist Church. He was a proud small
business owner of Quick Way Curb Mart for more than 20 years and was a
Charter Member of the Waynesboro Kiwanis Club, where he served in many
positions over the years, including President as well as Lieutenant
Governor for the Mississippi/Louisian/Tennessee District.
"Shine" Weaver, Sr., and Dorothy Jean "Dotty Jean" Weaver, he was a
member of Wayne Haven United Methodist Church. He was a proud small

He died on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at his residence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Angela Moody Weaver of
Waynesboro; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Stacy and Edwin Hill of
Humble, Texas, Candice Mathews of Waynesboro and Leslie and Jeremy Doby
of Waynesboro; three grandsons, Jared Doby, Connor Doby and Caleb
Mathews; his sister, Anne Weaver Dear of Laurel; and many beloved
cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sr., and Dorothy Jean "Dotty Jean" Weaver; his stepmother, Mary Lee
Bayne; his brother, Jerry Weaver; his stepsister, Jan Clark; and his
brother-in-law, Don Clark.
