Funeral services for Lula Bell Anderson, 79, of Quitman, will be at 11 
a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from Bethel U.M. Church, with Pastor 
Carrie Sterling and Minister Ceola Davis officiating. Visitation will 
take place from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, March 14, 
2026 from the church.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at New Hope 
Cemetery in the DeSoto community of Shubuta.
Born on Sept. 14, 1946, she was a Homemaker.
She died on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Ochsner-Rush Medical Center in 
Meridian.
She is survived by her brother, Willie Vernon McQueen of Decatur; her 
sister, Christine McQueen-Dickinson of Grove Hill, Ala.; and two 
grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son and three 
brothers.

Funeral services for Woody Terance Powe, 61, of the Hiwannee community 
in Waynesboro, were conducted on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from the Chapel 
of Turner Funeral Home, with Pastor Claude Jordan officiating.
Born on Oct. 17, 1964, he was a Retired Bus Driver with the Wayne County 
School District.
He died on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at his residence.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Rosie Jordan; his daughters, 
Latrisha and Ronesheona Powe; his sister, Judnara Rowzec; two 
grandchildren and his father, Woodrow Powe.
He was preceded in death by his mother and two sisters.
