Funeral services for Carolyn Humphrey, 78, of Millry, Ala., were 
conducted on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026 from Flat Branch Church in Millry, 
with Rev. Jimmie Butts and Rev. Jim Koen officiating.
Interment followed at Flat Branch Cemetery in Millry.
Born in Millry on Thursday, Sept. 11, 1947 to the late Jessie and Mae 
Eula (Stokley) Kirkland. She was a faithful member of Flat Branch 
Church, where she served as Church Pianist for many years. She retired 
as a Sales Clerk with Ellis-Chapman in Waynesboro.
She died on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 at Washington County Nursing Home in 
Chatom, Ala., surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, W.D. 
Humphrey of Millry; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mark Roberts 
of Meridian; and her grandson, Jonathan Roberts of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mae Eula (Stokley) 
Kirland; and her sister, Geraldean (Kirkland) Heathcock.

ALESHIA KAY TATE

Funeral services for Aleshia Kay Tate, 44, of Waynesboro, were conducted 
on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with 
Rev. Aaron Cooley and Rev. Ryan Powers officiating.
Interment followed at Winchester Cemetery.
Born in Conroe, Texas on Sunday, March 15, 1981 to David and Peggy Crow, 
she worked as a Self-Employed Nail Technician at Studio 13 in 
Waynesboro.
She died on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by her 
loving family.
She is survived by her husband, Joshua M. Tate of Waynesboro; her 
parents, David and Peggy Crow of Waynesboro; her son, Talon Tate of 
Waynesboro; three daughters, Kelsey Holifield, Annaston Tate and Karson 
Tate, all of Waynesboro; her brother and sister-in-law, David Allen and 
Ashton Crow of Waynesboro; her sister and brother-in Mandy and Brad 
Holifield of Waynesboro; her granddaughter, Blakely Kay Tate of 
Waynesboro; and her mother-in-law, Pat Tate of Waynesboro.
