Funeral services for Rosie Arrington-Ellis, 84, of Waynesboro and 
formerly of Shubuta, will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026 from 
Altair Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on 
Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, then 
again from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 from Altair Missionary Baptist 
Church.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Altair 
Cemetery.
Born on March 25, 1941, she was a Homemaker.

Funeral services for Jerry Wayne McIlwain, Sr., 83, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026 from Hebron Methodist Church in 
Waynesboro, with Rev. Shawn Hales officiating.
Interment followed at Hebron Cemetery.
Born in Waynesboro on Monday, June 8, 1942 to the late Frank Howard 
McIlwain and Bertha Opal Beard McIlwain, he retired as a Small Business 
Owner.
He was a Veteran, serving in the United States Air Force.
He died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his 
loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Elizabeth Street 
McIlwain of Waynesboro; his son, Jerry Wayne McIlwain, Jr., of 
Waynesboro; his daughter and son-in-law, Mona Michelle and Timothy 
Bisping of Conway, Ark.; two sisters, Jean Taylor of Hattiesburg and 
Iris Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; his grandson and his spouse, Patrick 
Chandler and Brittney Morris of Fulton, Ala.; and his 
great-granddaughter, Skylar Reighn Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Howard McIlwain and 
Bertha Opal Beard McIlwain; four brothers, John Howard McIlwain, Bruce 
McIlwain, Glynn McIlwain and Francis Lee McIlwain; and two sisters, Ina 
Claire Yancey and Opal A. McIlwain.

Graveside services for Williard Davis, 85, of Waynesboro were conducted 
on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026 from White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, with 
Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating.
Born in Wayne County on Wednesday, May 22, 1940 to the late Christopher 
Columbus Davis and Eula Mae Stevens Davis, he retired as a Pest Control 
Technician for Clanton Pest Control.
He died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home.
He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Waymon and Ruby Davis 
and William T. and Marcell Davis, all of Waynesboro; his sister and 
brother-in-law, Evon and Gaston Hutcherson of Clara; three grandsons and 
their respective spouses, Matt and Bethany Riley of Waynesboro, Jacob 
and Nikki Riley of Union, Ken., and Dustin Davis of Waynesboro; four 
great-grandchildren, Reid Riley, Elaina Riley, Austin Cochran and 
Barrett Riley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Nell Davis; his mother, 
Eula Mae Davis; his father, Christopher Columbus Davis; his son, Timothy 
"Toe" Davis; his daughter, Tina Riley; and his brother, Willie Ray 
Davis.
