Funeral services for  Roosevelt Coleman, Sr., 82, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026 from Gin Creek Baptist Church, with 
Pastor Lewis Jefferson officiating.
Interment followed at the church cemetery.
Born on March 10, 1943, he was a former Sawman, Skidder Operator and 
Truck Driver in the lumber industry.
He died on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Roosevelt and Flora 
Coleman, Jr., Marcus and Mary Ford and Charles and Robin Ford; his 
sister, Fay Bonner; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

ELLENDER "HONEY" LEVERETTE TATUM

Funeral services for Ellender "Honey" Leverette Tatum, 95, of State 
Line, were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 from Pleasant Ridge U.M. 
Church in State Line, with Rev. Trevor Gore officiating.
Interment followed at Simpson Cemetery.
Born on April 28, 1930, she was a retired Barbershop Properietor with 
Leverette's Barber Shop in Chicago, Ill.
She died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025 at her residence.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin Tatum of Chicago and Felder Tatum of 
Chicago; her daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Leroy Levy of 
Chicago, Robin and Lloyd Gilyard, Sr., of Tennessee and Dawn Tatum of 
Mississippi; her brother, Joe Leverette; 17 grandchildren, 33 
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a brother, a 
son and a grandson.

ELMOE TAYLOR

Funeral services for Elmoe Taylor, 70, of Waynesboro, were conducted on 
Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 from Alpha & Omega Holiness Church in Millry, 
Ala., with Elder Veronica Miller officiating.
Interment followed at Payne Hamilton Cemetery in Millry.
Born on Jan. 6, 1956, he was a retired Truck Driver with Scotch Lumber 
Company.
He died on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Pearlie Taylor; his daughter, Annie Marie 
Taylor of Waynesboro; four stepdaughters and their spouses, Ericka and 
Hosea Johnson of Millry, Beronica and Ricky Miller of Meridian, Melinda 
Taylor of State Line and Tyra Woodard of Millry; her brothers, Alfred 
Taylor of Wilmington, Del., and Elijah Taylor Waynesboro; and her 
sisters and brothers-in-law, Aretha and Charles Ray Carter of Waynesboro 
and Ann and Archie Policarpe of Miami, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, tow brothers and a sister.

ANNETTE HARRISON STEVISON
May 25, 1959-Jan. 12, 2026
Funeral services for Annette Harrison Stevison, 66, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral 
Home with Rev. Darrell Lloyd officiating.
Interment followed at Cross Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born in Waynesboro on Monday, March 25, 1959 to the late Jeanette and 
Huey Harrison, she was a member of McLain Chapel Assembly of God Church. 
She retired as an LPN at Ellisville State School.
She died on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 at her residence.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Chastity Presley of 
Waynesboro and Christity and Brad Napp of Silas; her brother and 
sister-in-law, Dennis and Freda Harrison of Waynesboro; three 
grandchildren and their respective spouses, Stevison Ray Presley, Noah 
Bradford and Rae Napp and Ethan Walker Napp; and was expecting a 
great-grandson in two weeks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leebert Stevison; and her 
parents, Jeanette and Huey Harrison.
