Funeral services for William Leslie Robertson, 62, of Millry, Ala., were 
conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral 
Home, with Rev. Jim Koen officiating.
Interment followed at Providence Cemetery in State Line.
Born in Chatom, Ala., on Saturday, Sept. 28, 1963 to Billy B. Robertson 
and Elizabeth Robertson Ponder, he was a member of Providence Church. He 
worked as an Electrical Instrumentation Technician with Exxon Mobile.
He died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his 
loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Leida Elizabeth Robertson 
of Millry; his mother, Elizabeth Robertson Ponder of Semmes, Ala.; two 
sons, William D. Robertson and John Gary Robertson, both of Millry; his 
brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Cindy Robertson of Clinton; five 
sisters and four brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Bubba Geter of Natchez, 
Joanna "Jodie" and Michael Hedgepeth of Hattiesburg, Linda and Peter 
Krukar of Oakland, Tenn., Sandra Robertson of Semmes and Lisa and Shane 
Cross of Semmes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy B. Robertson; and his 
daughter, Rebecca Lynn Robertson.

Funeral services for Lenoriale "Minnow" McDougle, 91, of Waynesboro, 
were conducted on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 from the chapel of Turner 
Funeral Home, with Rev. Curtis Blakley officiating.
Interment followed at Waynesboro Cemetery.
Born on Oct. 13, 1934, he was a former Laborer in the timber industry.
He died on Thursday, dec. 4, 2025 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Mandale Kirksey, Carl 
Kirskey, Lester and Shirley Blakley and Lee McDougle, Jr. of Waynesboro; 
his daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Will Pittman of Waynesboro; 
his stepdaughter, Georgia Mae Everette of Waynesboro; his brother, Roy 
McDougle, who died a week later; his siblings, Ruthie B. Nobles of 
Oakland, Calif., and Olue McDougle of Washington, D.C.; 20 
grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five 
great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, seven brothers, five 
sisters and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Johnny "Humpback" Davis, 70, of Millry, Ala., 
were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman 
Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Griffin, Rev. Tommy Davis and Rev. Ryan 
Powers officiating.
Interment followed at Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 10, 1955 to the late James Vaughan 
Davis and Bobbie Faye Davis, he served in the United States Army. He 
attended Little Rock Assembly of God Church and was a member of the 
Wayne County Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
He died on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Teresa "Reese" Davis 
of Millry; two daughters and sons-in-law, Delaine and Jason West of Mize 
and Tiffney Davis and Julius Wright of Millry; two brothers, Ralph Davis 
and Rufus Davis; his sister, Judy Faye Davis; and a host of 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Vaughan Davis and Bobbie 
Faye Davis; his brother, Randy Davis; and three great-grandchildren, 
Delta, Wyatt and Walker.

Funeral services for Calvin Bettis, 88, of Shubuta, were conducted on 
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from Little Rock AME Church in Quitman, with 
Pastor Mairlyn Allen officiating.
Interment followed at Zion Chapel Cemetery in Quitman.
Born on May 22, 1937, he was a retired Log Truck Driver.
he died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by his stepson, Benjamin Kirksey of Jackson; his 
daughters, Laureen and Loreen Bettis of Shubuta; his brothers and 
sisters-in-law, James and Gloria of Miami, Fla., Frank and Annis of 
Waynesboro and Jim Pacley of Shubuta; his sisters and brother-in-law, 
Lula Bloxson of Youngstown, Ohio and Ollie Mae and Levoner Bonner of 
Waynesboro; and his granddaughter, Loaria Bettis of Shubuta.

Funeral services for Lisa Bivens, 68, of State Line, were conducted on 
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church in 
State Line, with Rev. W.E. Rankins officiating.
Interment followed at State Line African American Cemetery in State 
Line.
Born on Oct. 20, 1957, she retired from the Mississippi Department of 
Corrections in 2018 and served as the Greene County District 2 Election 
Commissioner for 15 years.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron 
of the Morning Star Chapter.
She died on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 at Forrest General Hospital in 
Hattiesburg.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Bivens of Bessemer, Ala., and 
Kristen Bivens of Ocean Springs; her siblings and their respective 
spouses, Carol Bivens, Carolyn and J.C. Brown, Angie Holloway, Jarita 
and Keith White of State Line, Tracey and Patrick Busby of Waynesboro, 
Cynthia Debose of Baytown, Texas, Bontia Powe Donna Powe of 
Indianapolis, Ind. and Glenn Powe of Indianapolis; her grandson, Kylan 
Williamson; a beloved companion in Spencer Sullivan of Mt. Vernon, Ala.; 
devoted loving friends in Morris Hill, Brenda Debose-Mosley, Henry Clay 
Debose, George Miller, Hillary Johnson, Cheryl Johnson and Lauretha 
Hall; and her aunts and uncles, Mary Lynn Walker, Virginia and Ricky 
Davis, Della Chestnut, Mattie Hill, Bessie Denson and Robert and Ethel 
Bivens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lula Bivens; her 
brother, Charlie E. Bivens; and a dear fiend in LeAndra Hall.

WILLIAM RAY HENDERSON
Aug. 1, 1942-Dec. 10, 2025
Funeral services for William Ray Henderson, 83, of Clara, were conducted 
on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from the White House Chapel, with Rev. Drew 
Holifield and Rev. Matt Olson officiating.
Interment followed at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born on Saturday, Aug. 1, 1942 to the late Lillie Mae Buxton Henderosn 
and George Fred Henderson, he was a Veteran who served in the 
Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
He was a retired Truck Driver with Scotch Plywood and was a farmer as 
well. Most days, he could be found on his tractor of a lawnmower.
He loved the Lord. He served as a Sunday School Teacher for the Senior 
Men at Big Creek Baptist Church. He shared his love for the Lord by 
serving his community by visiting with the elderly and friends, offering 
them any help he was able to provide.
He was affectionately known as "PawPaw" to not only his children and 
grandchildren but to many other extended family and friends, along with 
being known as "Uncle WeeWee" to his loving nieces and nephews.
He died on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Randall Henderson and 
Kyle and Samantha Henderson, all of Clara; his grandchildren and their 
respective spouses, Kayla Henderson, Caleb "Bub" and Nichole 
Henderson, Nathan Henderson, Jade and Tae Hayes, Bailey Grace Freeman, 
Parker Anne Dickinson, Mandy and Adam Reeves and Catlin and Brooke 
Duvall; his great-grandchildren, Cambree Luker, Caityn Henderson, Kace 
Hayes, Ely Hayes, Coltlen Hinton, Emersyn Hinton, Kelsyn Hinton, Adaly 
Reeves, Charley Kate Reeves, Aubree Duvall and Eason Duvall; his loving 
friend and companion, Barbara Rockwell, and her daughter, Amy Leugge; 
and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae and George Fred 
Henderson; his brothers, Fred "F.M." Henderson, Sr., and William 
Vonell "Von" Henderson; and his sister, Betty Jean Ferguson.

Lutehr Warren.

Funeral services for Billie Jean Jordon-Powe, 73, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 from Pineville Missionary Baptist 
Church, with Pastor Samuel C. Newton officiating.
Interment followed at the church cemetery.
Born on Aug. 30, 1952, she was a retired School Teacher with the Wayne 
County School District, was a member of the Riverview Reunion Committee, 
served in the S.A.L.T. Ministry and the Pastor's Support Ministry, was 
a Vacation Bible School Teacher, led the Youth Club and was a Primary 
Class Teacher at Pineville Missionary Baptist Church.
She died on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025 at University Medical Center in 
Jackson.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Sharonda 
Powe and LaCedric and Selena Powe; her brothers, Michael Jordan and Roy 
Muhammed; her sisters, Delores Wright-Aaron, Teresa Jordan-Younger, 
Shirley Cheeks, Cynthia Jordan Brown and Tawanda Miles Anderson; and a 
grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and four siblings.

Interment followed at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born on March 9, 1957, he was a Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator with 
Transocean and survived the Deep Water Horizon explosion.
He died on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 at University Medical Center in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Torcia Mayfield; his son and 
daughter-in-law, Aaron and Letitia Mayfield; his daughter, Lauren 
McCarty; his mother, Dorris Sawyers; his siblings and their respective 
spouses, Andrea and Alvin Sawyers, Raquel and Chris Brown, Benita and 
Tywan Lang, Steve and Angie Mayfield, Wallace and Quineesha Sawyers, 
Angela Williams, Stacia Williams and Derrick Anderson; a grandson, 
Kameron Porter; his lifelong childhood friend, Melvin Dawson; Mr. Mills 
and Miss Felix, who were there for him throughout his life; and a host 
of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
