Funeral services for Kathleen Latrita Waites, 73, of Clara, will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Cooper officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Maynor Creek Cemetery.

Born in Waynesboro on Friday, Feb. 4, 1949 to Joe Davis and Catherine Davis, she was a member of Clara First Church of God. She worked as a Secretary at Buster's Welding.

She died on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, James R. "Buster" Waites of Clara; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dustin and Ashley Waites of Clara and Richard and Wendy Waites of State Line; a daughter, Shelia D. Waites of Laurel; and eight grandchildren, Ashton Ethridge, Emily Waites, Destiny Waites, Layla Waites, Andrew Savage, Kathryn Revette, Hannah Dickerson and Destiny Dickerson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Davis; her mother, Catherine Davis; two brothers, Rayborn Davis and Dannis Davis; and a sister, Ann Holifield.
