Graveside services for Reuben Lee Douglas, 87, of Waynesboro, will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 from Trinity First Baptist Church, with Rev. Roger Douglas officiating.
Born in Magnolia Springs, Ala.,on Monday, Feb. 25, 1935 to Richard Bodie Douglas, Sr., and Alameater Tillman Douglas, he served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Receptionist at Opryland Hotel.
He died on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at Sullivan's House in Ellisville.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Bobbie F. Douglas of Waynesboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rev. Roger and Judy Douglas of Waynesboro and Michael Douglas of Foley, Ala.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Charlie Kelley of Waynesboro and Katie and Neil Stuckas of Mobile, Ala.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bodie Douglas, Sr.; his mother, Alameater Douglas; four brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Southern Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Wounded Soldiers Fund or a Veteran's Home of your choice.
