Unveiling of Homicide Victim Memorial Garden Monday

Wayne County will honor homicide victims and their family members during 
the unveiling of the Wayne County Homicide Victim Memorial Garden on 
Monday at 10 a.m.

The unveiling will take place at the Wayne County Courthouse and is 
being hosted by District Attorney Kassie Coleman and the wayne County 
Sheriff's Department.

The Victim Memorial Garden was created to pay tribute to homicide 
victims from Wayne County. It will provide a space for friends and 
relatives to reflect on the lives of heir loved ones.

Coleman said she is proud to be a part of the memorial.

"The District Attorney's Office is committed to supporting victims 
through the criminal justice process," she said. "We hope that the 
families and friends of those who have suffered immense and traumatic 
loss due to a homicide will gather with us to commemorate the Homicide 
Victim Memorial Garden and to recognize and remember homicide victims."

The public is welcome to attend the 10 a.m. unveiling on Monday.
