Graveside services for Agnes C. Southerland, 89, of Waynesboro, will be
at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025 from Walker Family Cemetery in
Wayne County, with Rev. Raymond Jeffcoat officiating. Vistitation will
be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025 from the Parlor of Freeman
Funeral Home.

Born in Batesville on Friday, Aug. 30, 1935 to the late William and
Elizabeth Hood, she was a member of Southern Methodist Church of
Waynesboro. She retired as a Group Home Caregiver.

She died on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025 at Pine View Health and
Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kaye
Southerland of Dayton, Fla.; her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and
John Walker of Waynesboro; five grandchildren and their respective
spouses, Johnny and Shaina Walker, Joshua and Debra Walker, Joseph and
Morgan Walker, Misti Hoover and Kayle Beth Southerland; her
granddaughter-in-love, Amanda Ward; 14 great-grandchildren with one on
the way and a host of very special nieces and nephews who she loved as
her own.

her daughter, Yvonne "Squeaky" Buckley; her brother, Roger Hood; her
sister, Sarah Dean; and her grandson, Daniel Walker.
