President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump easily carried

Wayne County in primary elections that drew every little attention from

local voters.

absentee ballot. There was only one affidavit ballot left to be counted

on Wednesday morning.

The City 5 precinct had the lowest turnout with 4.91 percent while the

Matherville/Coyt box had the highest turnout with 16.76 percent of the

registered voters casting a ballot.

Democratic primaries that focused on federal races.

In the Democratic Primary, President Joe Biden easily as he ran

unopposed. He brought home 647 votes with five write-ins. All of the

candidates in the Democratic Primary ran unopposed.

On the Republican side, former President Donald Trump had little trouble

as all of his opponents had already dropped out of the race. He brought

in 2,225 votes compared to 65 for Nikki Haley, 26 for Ron DeSantis and

seven for Vivek Ramaswamy.

In the race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate, incumbent

Roger Wicker brought in 1,646 votes while Dan Eubanks earned 359 and

Ghannon Burton took in 304.

1,870 votes while Carl Boyanton took home 344 and Michael McGill earned

96.

last box --- that being Buckatunna --- arriving at 8:27. Shortly after
