Funeral services for Alvin Gerald Jordan, Sr., 74, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Monday, March 11, 2024 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Scott Morris, Rev. Chris Cooper and Rev. Tedlen Pittman

officiating.

Interment followed at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Born in Hattiesburg on Sunday, Oct. 9, 1949 to Alvin Jordan and Lela

Agnes Jordan, he retired as Supervisor with Hood Industries.

He died on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Jordan of Clara; two

sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Rhonda Jordan of Hiwannee and

Marco and Laken Jordan of Clara; his daughter and son-in-law, Darrinda

and Greg Ford of Petal; his brother and sister-in-law, Gavin and

Stephanie Jordan of Petal; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy

Sue and Cecil Burkett of Ocilla, Ga., Dianne and Ray Vaughn of Madison,

Ala., and Grace and Barry Ward of Canyon Lake, Calif; eight

grandchildren and their respective spouses, Kristen and Justin Parker,

Justin and Stacy Jordan, Daniel and Logan Jordan, Mallory Nicholason,

Makenzie Nicholson, Reese Jordan, Kimber Jordan and Justice Jordan; and

six great-grandchildren, Brayleigh Parker, Kyleigh Parker, Canton

Parker, Reagan Jordan, Avery Jordan and Reed Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Jordan; his mother, Lela

Agnes Jordan; and his daughter, Detria Jordan.

Pallbearers were Kenny Mills, Gaston Hutcherson, Turk West, Chase

Cochran, Billy Cochran, Terrance Jordan, Lance Mills and Freddie Mills.

Funeral services for Ted Barber Yates, 76, of Waynesboro, were conducted

on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with

Rev. John Brown, Rev. Ricky Williams and Willis Smith officiating.

Interment followed at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in

Taylorsville.

Born in Smith County on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1948 to the late Henry and

Lillie Mae Yates, he retired as a Welder with Genesis Crude Oil.

He died on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his

loving family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Ann Yates of

Waynesboro; his son, Brian Yates of Waynesboro; his daughter and

son-in-law, Angelia and Lonnie Adams of Waynesboro; two brothers and a

sister-in-law, Marshall P. Yates of Taylorsville and Dan and Susan Yates

of Weatherford, Texas; three grandchildren and their respective spouses,

Star and Shon Russell, Sharr and Stevie Street and Konner Adams; six

great-grandchildren, Jayla Woods, Jacoby Woods, Mae-Leigh Beal, Mandee

Green, Marlee Stevens and Storeigh Russell; and a host of nieces and

nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillie Mae Yates;

four brothers, Howell Yates, Charles Yates, James Yates and Jerrel

Yates; and his nephew, Jeff Yates.

Pallbearers were Marty Yates, Winston Yates, Steve Yates, Woody Yates,

Konner Adams and Stevie Street. Honorary pallbearers were Shon Russell,

Troy Graves, Chris West, Ricky Yates and Randy Yates.

Funeral services for Mary Alice "Doll" Campbell Gray, 75, of

Waynesboro, were conducted on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from St. Luke

Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Donald E. Miller officiating.

Interment followed at Gin Creek Cemetery in Gilbertown, Ala.

Born on July 18, 1948, she was a retired School Teacher with the Wayne

County School District.

She died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home

in Waynesboro.

She is survived by her brother, Mance Columbus Campbell, Jr.; five

sisters, Eunice Ritchie, Inez Levorn Gilmore, Christine Yarbrough, Dr.

Delois Campbell and Ruby Campbell; and her godchildren, Edward Powe,

Jr., LaCedric Powe and Jordan and Jalyn Davis.

Born on May 30, 1957, he was a former Roofer.

He died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Lacey Ray; his son and

daughter-in-law, Marzell and Maude McGill of Petal; his stepson,

Charkeria Lacey; his daughter, Kenya McGill of Waynesboro; his brothers

and sisters-in-law, Lester and Stacey Harris, Roy and Mary Higgins of
