War Eagles advance to Elite Eight

Wayne County High School's boys basketball team used a 16-0 run in the fourth quarter to top Natchez, 41-34, and advance to the Elite Eight round of the Class 5A playoffs.

The win moves the War Eagles into a quarterfinal round matchup against South Jones on Friday. That game will be played at 8:30 p.m. at Pearl River Community College.

WCHS trailed through most of the game but started the fourth quarter with a 16-0 run that allowed the War Eagles to take the win.
