WILLIAM GLEN "TATER" REVETTE

Funeral services for William Glen "Tater" Revette, 54, of Buckatunna,

will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023 from the Chapel of Freeman

Funerla Home, with Rev. DeJuan Walley and Rev. Adam Walley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Revette Cemetery in State Line.

Born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1968 to the late Johnny and Nell

Revette, he attended Bridgeway Church. He retired as a Truck Driver for

Raymond Revette Logging.

He died on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his

loving family and friends.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Lynn Revette

of Buckatunna; two sons, Jaden Revette and Montgomery Revette, both of

Buckatunna; his daughter, Lundynn Revette of Buckatunna; his brother,

Howard Hegwood of Buckatunna; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and

Kenneth Crager of State Line; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy

and Sandra Palmer of Vancleave; his brother-in-law, Ronald Palmer of

Vancleave; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Angela and Paul Ivy

and Paula Glaser, all of Vancleave; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Nell Revette; and

his brother, Randy Hegwood.

PATRICIA ELESE WEST

Feb. 19, 1949-Aug. 7, 2023

A memorial services for Patricia Elese West, 74, of Laurel, will be at

10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023 from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's

Witnesss in Waynesboro, with Brother Eddie Brashier officiating.

Born in Waynesboro on Saturday, Feb. 19, 1949 to the late David W.

"Bill" Mills and Helen Elese Mills, she was a member of the Kingdom

Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Waynesboro and was baptized on Sept.

15, 1974.

Anyone who knew her knew that she had a great love for her family and

for our Heavenly Father, His Word the Bible and His Son, Jesus Christ.

She was known for putting everyone else's needs above her own because

she was a natural caregiver. She was our peacemaker, our counselor and

no one went uncared for as long as she was around.

She was the glue that held everyone and everything together. Her gift in

life was being a guardian, protector, keeper and companion for us all.

She also had a passion for sharing God's Word, the Bible. As her last

witness, she would want to leave us with one last Scripture to meditate

on --- II Timothy 4:1-8.

She died on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald West; four daughters

and three sons-in-law, Donna C. DiSalvo, Shelly R. and Nick

Contestabile, Andrea N. and Jeff Eddy and Kerri E. and Jackie West; a

son and daughter-in-law, Donald M. and Jessica West; her granddaughter,

Lauren A. DiSalvo; and three sisters, Billie J. Mathis, Linda O. Welch

and Sharon F. Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Helen Mills; her

brother, James W. Mills; two sisters, Gloria J. Hudson and Deborah A.

Bunch; and a son-in-law, Louis A. DiSalvo, Jr.

LANE ADDENTON CHANCELLOR

Funeral services for Lane Addenton Chancellor, 22, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Marvin Griffin, Rev. David Tennyson and Rev. Drew

Holifield officiating.

Interment followed at Buckatunna First Baptist Church Cemetery in

Buckatunna.

Born in Laurel on Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 to Craig Chancellor and Carol W.

Smith, he was a member of Clara Church of God.

He graduated from Northeast Jones High School in 2019 and, two weeks

later, earned his private pilot's license and graduated from Louisiana

Tech in November of 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Aviation

Management. He worked as an Operations Supervisor with the

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.

He died on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.

He is survived by his father, Craig Chancellor of Hattiesburg; his

mother and her spouse, Carol W. and Mark Smith of Waynesboro; his sister

and brother-in-law, Mckensie and Blane Blackwell of Waynesboro; his

grandparents, Billy and Sylvia Chancellor of Buckatunna, Louis and Ann

Foxwroth of Waynesboro and Thomas and Janice Smith of Wayne County;

three uncles and two aunts, Chad Chancellor of Pensacola, Fla., Louis

and Ronda Waller of Lighthouse Point, Fla. and Jerry and Tiffany Waller

of Crestview, Fla.; two cousins, Brody and Cooper Waller; and his

stepbrother, Cody Smith and family of Sumrall.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry W. Waller; and a

cousin, Elizabeth Ann Waller.

Funeral services for James "Smiley" Smith, 63, were conducted on

Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 from the Chapel of McDonald and Sons Funeral

Home.

Interment followed at Waynesboro City Cemetery.

Born on Dec. 6, 1959 to the late AT and Mae Ollie Smith, he died on

Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Mae Smith; two daughters, Monika and

Jasmine Smith; two sons and daughters-in-law, Courtney and Quatasha

Ruffin and Patrick and Rosa Ruffin; 11 grandchildren, Fenesheama

Hundley, Zantavia Ruffin, Tykia Hill, My'Savionna Johnson, Tilaysha,

Courlaysha, Jamicah and Jestis Ruffin, Joey Moncrief, Kaleigha Jones and

Maria Tillis; three sisters, Lizzie B. Smith, Luella Williams and Mae C.

Williams; a brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Flora Smith; a special

friend, Brenda "Lang" Estes; and a host of nieces, nephews, family

and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joe Michael Ruffin;

three grandchildren, Chauncey Carter, Ceirra Johnson and Darron Smith; a

sister, Diane McFarland; six brothers, Albert Smith, AT Smith, Jr.,

Lemon Smith, Johnny Smith, Robert Smith and Alex Smith; and two

brothers-in-law, Ray Williams and Charles Williams.

AKIEM MARKEL NELSON

Aug. 6, 1997-July 29, 2023

Funeral services for Akiem Markel Nelson, 25, of Waynesboro were

conducted on Friday, Aug. 4, 2023 from St. Luke Baptist Church.

Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery.

Born in Waynesboro on Aug. 6, 1997 to Charlton Antoine Nelson and SaKena

Sherrell Powe Bishop, he was a graduate of Wayne County High School and

was a recent employee of Howard Industries in Laurel, remaining there

until his death. He was known for his contagious smile, his caring

personality and his singing voice.

He enjoyed reading and writing music. He was a member of Altair

Missionary Baptist Church and gave his life to God a year ago and

remained faithful until his death.

He died on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in

Gulfport.

He is survived by his mother, SaKena Sherrell Bishop; his stepfather,

Derrick Bishop, Sr.; his father, Charlton Antoine Nelson; his

stepmother, Katrenia Ann Nelson; three brothers, Cartez Antoine Powe,

Derrick Shundale Bishop, Jr., and Khyson Wills; three sisters, Cyiara

Shunyia Bishop, Tyiara Alicia Bishop and Kyiara Shayonna Bishop; two

stepsisters, Trinity Morgan and Khadence Everett; four uncles and their

respective spouses, Malcolm and Karen Hayes, Sr., of Rochester, N.Y,

Perry and Senovia Norsworthy, Maurice Norsworthy and Kendall and Keoshia

Nelson; three aunts and their respective spouses, Latonya and Anthony

Vaughn of Atlanta, Ga., Sharaaka Powe and Shambria and Curtis Powe; his

grandparents, Queen and RayPale Terrell, Norris Powe and Joe and

Carmeletta Bishop; one special cousin, Emory "EJ" Worsham; and a

host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Virginia Hayes Powe;

and his grandfather, Charles "Ted" Nelson.
