Funeral services for Willie Fred Howell, 59, of Buckatunna will be at 1

p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023 from Sunlight Baptist Church, with Rev.

Cecil Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 12-6 p.m. on Friday,

Jan. 27, 2023 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home and again from 11

a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023 at Sunlight Baptist Church.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at the church

cemetery.

Born on June 21, 1963, he was a Laborer with Scotch Plywood.

Funeral services for Herbert "Snap" Moody, Jr., 84, of Waynesboro will

be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023 from Living Church of God

Pentecostal of Braishertown (formerly Family Life Church) in Quitman.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023 from the

Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, followed by a visitation from 10-11 a.m.

on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2023 at the church.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Archusa

Memorial Gardens.

Born on Oct. 18, 1938, he was a Self-Employed Cement Finisher.

He died on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Moody; two sons, Jacque Moody of

Starkville and Shelton Moody of DeSoto; five stepchildren, Demitra Jones

and Nayia Wright of Atlanta and Tykerra Arrington, TeShaun Powe and

Corey Wright, all of Waynesboro; his brother, George Washington Moody of

Hattiesburg; two sisters, Ardell Moody of Denver, Colo., and Franie

Moody-Wualls of Bogue Chitto; and 18 grandchildren.

JOSEPH F. KEANE, JR.

May 26, 1939-Jan. 22, 2023

A private family service for Joseph F. Keane, Jr., 83, of Grandbury,

Texas and formerly of Waynesboro will be held at a later date.

Born on May 26, 1939 in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y. to Joseph F. and

Margaret Keane, Sr., he was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

After being honorably discharged, he began a long career in the retail

liquor business in Dallas, Texas. Later, he worked for the Internal

Revenue Service in Kansas City, Mo., retiring from there at the age of

81.

He was passionate about baseball after growing up in an area where three

Major League Baseball teams --- the New York Yankees, New York Giants

and Brooklyn Dodgers --- all played in the 1940s and 50s. He played the

sport in both high school and college. He was also a passionate coin,

stamp and baseball card and memorabilia collector.

He died on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023 at Courtyards Assisted Living in

Grandbury, Texas.

He is survived by his first wife, Melissa Keane of Lewisville, Texas;

his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Doris Keane of Waynesboro; two

daughters and a son-in-law, Grace and Javier Garcia of Godley, Texas and

Elizabeth Keane of Flower Mound, Texas; his brother, James P. Keane,

Sr., of Bogalusa, La.; five grandchildren and their respective spouses,

Kelly and Will Taylor of Waynesboro, Steven and Madison Keane of

Columbus, Tomas Garcia of Godley, PFC David Kruger of Fort Carson,

Colo., and Benjamin Kruger of Flower Mound; and three

great-grandchildren, W.L. Taylor III, Henry Taylor and Loralei Taylor,

all of Waynesboro.

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Carol Keane; his sister,

Margaret "Peggy" Carroll; his parents and a grandson, Christopher Keane.

She is survived by her husband, Torrey Cook of Atlanta; her son, Zyon

Thompson of Norcross; two daughters, Khadejah Thompson of Stone

Mountain, Ga., and Allylion Thompson of Norcross; a brother, Cory

Brinkley of Tucker, Ga.; three stepbrothers and their respective

spouses, Cory and Shameka Clanton of Monroeville, Ala., Koshon Clanton

and Kenneth Johnson of Waynesboro; two sisters, Dina Santoyo of Atlanta

and Amber Brinkley of Alpharetta, Ga.; two stepsisters and their

LONNIE RAY REYNOLDS

Funeral services for Lonnie Ray Reynolds, 84, of Laurel, were conducted

on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 from the Chapel of Memory Funeral Home in

Laurel, with Rev. Phil Smith and Rev. Shannon Slover officiating.

Interment followed at Strengthford First Baptist Church Cemetery in

Wayne County.

Born in Feb. 15, 1938 in Rose Hill, he graduated from Meridian High

School and later attended Jones County Junior College. He was a Veteran

of the United States Marine Corps.

He began working for GM&O Railroad after high school and retired in

later years. He moved to Laurel in 1960 and entered the Real Estate

profession as a Broker on Nov. 25, 1970. He was a partner in Century 21

State Realty, a partner in Landmark Realty and Owner of Reynolds Realty.

He served as a member of the Board of Governors for Century 21

Southeastern District and a Charter Member of the Jones County Home

Builders Association. He also served on several committee for the Laurel

Board of Realtors. He also became a residential and commercial appraiser

and was certified as a VA and FHA Appraiser.

Lonnie was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed boating and

saltwater fishing. He made life-long friends in the Gulf Coast area. An

active member of First Baptist Church of Laurel, he had unwavering faith

in our Lord. He was also a long-time member of the County Cooks of

Laurel.

He died on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sheila Reynolds. He is also

survived by his son, Jeff Reynolds of Laurel; a daughter and son-in-law,

Kathy and Randy Gardner of Laurel; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard

and Kim Reynolds of Gulfport; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollie Reynolds and Lillie

McCraney Reynolds of Rose Hill; his youngest son, Lonnie Ray Reynolds II

of Gulfport; and a grandson, Bryan Gardner of Laurel.

Pallbearers were Jeff Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, Sean Reynolds, Bradley

Reynolds, Garrett Ashley and Jonathan Kelly.

Winborn or Rensselaer, N.Y.; and a host of grandchildren and
