Funeral services for Franklin "Sonny" McGill, 74, of Waynesboro, will be

at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 from Sweet Hope Missionary Baptist

Church, with Rev. W.E. Rankins and Rev. Alfred James officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022 from the

Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, followed by a visitation from 1-2 p.m. at

the church.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Serenity

Gardens.

Born on Aug. 23, 1948, he was a former Laborer with Waynesboro Co-Op.

He died on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at Merritt Health Wesley in

Hattiesburg.

Born on July 27, 1979, he was a Rigger with Ingall's Shipbuilding.

He died on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.

from New Pilgrim Cemetery in Hiwannee, with Rev. Darron Chapman

officiating. Visitation will be from 12-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10,

2022 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

Born on Jan. 28, 1954, he was a Electrician in the shipbuilding

industry.

He died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022 at Manor Care of Gig Harbor in Gig

Harbor, Wash.

Funeral services for Jane Kay Stodghill, 79, of Waynesboro were

conducted on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home.

Interment followed at Waynesboro Cemetery.

Born in Harrisburg, Penn., on Sunday, Dec. 13, 1943 to the late Rev. Tom

Kay, Sr., and Jane Esther (Ramsey) Kay, she was a member of First

Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro.

She died on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home

in Waynesboro.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, John Wesley and

Karen Stodghill, Jr., of Santa Elena, Cayo, Belize in Central America,

Jim and Tylia Stodghill of Burkesville, Ken., and Justin Benjamin and

Tonya Stodghill of Royse City, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law,

Jane Kay and Jimmy Sims of Orange Beach, Ala., and Joy Esther and Tony

Rancatore of Slidell, La.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Tom and

Connie Kay, Jr., of Aliceville, Ala., and Rev. John and Betty Kay of

Wilmette, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and their respective spouses, John and

Prisy, John and MJ, Sarah and Gary, Kristen, Jared and Emma, Jacob,

Lindsey and John, Kristen and Dustin, Ashley, Jonathon, Jessica, Allie

and Thad; and 16 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Inaya, Madison, Malachi,

Josiah, Abigail, James, Abraham, Wyatt, Sawyer, Hayes, Harper, Bentley,

Norah, Breckin and Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. John W. Stodghill;

and her parents, Rev. Tom Kay, Sr., and Jane Esther Kay.
