Funeral services for Rhetta June Pitts, 67, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funerla

Home.

Interment followed at Boyles Chapel Cemetery.

Born in Kosciusko on Tuesday, March 1, 1955 to Archie B. Clark and Sarah

Ruth Morgan, she was a Homemaker.

She died on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital.

She is survived by her special and devoted friend, Austin Paul Lossett;

her daughter, Amanda Cooley; her son, Austin Pitts; her stepson and his

wife, Timothy and Summer Lossett; her stepdaughter and her husband,

Rachael and Brett Vice, all of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Ethan

Rutledge, Sara Isabella Cooley, Ashton Herring, Jasmine Pitts and

Kristen Pitts; and three step-grnadchildren, Liam Lossett, Paxton Vice

and Harper Vice; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Archie B. Clark; her mother,

Sarah Ruth Morgan; three sons, James Herring, Ryan Pitts and Cristopher

Pitts; her brother, Bobby Clark; and two sisters, Sharon Ann Clark and

Susan Morgan Smith.

LEROY WRIGHT, SR.

Oct. 25, 1928-Oct. 5, 2022

Funeral services for LeRoy Wright, Sr., 93, of Millry, Ala., were

conducted on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Jim Koen officiating.

Interment followed at Stewart Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Copeland,

Ala.

Born in Munford, Ala., on Thursday, Oct. 25, 1928 to the late William

Julius Wright and Maddie Lee (Moore) Wright, he worked on road

construction crews, which is how he found his wife of 58 years, Virginia

Stewart Wright. He became a welder shortly after they married, working

in the field until he retired at the age of 62. He then became a poultry

farmer and worked until the age of 85.

He died on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022 at Washington County Nursing Home in

Chatom, Ala.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia Elizabeth

(Stewart) Wright; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lee Roy and Kristi

Wright, Jr. and James Julius Wright, all of Millry; a daughter and

son-in-law, Leida Wright and William Robertson of Millry; his sister,

Jean Burkhard of Lexinton, Ken.; five grandsons and their respective

spouses, Tyler and Kelsey Wright of Millry, Ethan and Harley Wright of

Waynesboro, William D. Robertson of Millry, John Robertson of Millry and

Conner Wright of Millry; two granddaughters, Savannah Wright of

Waynesboro and Kaylee Wright of Millry; two great-granddaughters, Raelyn

Wright and Rylee Wright, both of Millry; and a host of nieces and

nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Julius and Maddie Lee

(Moore) Wright; three brothers, James Julius Wright, Joe Wright and

William D. Wright; seven sisters, Gladys Edwards, Clara B. Wright,

Dorothy M. Wright, Ellen Wilcox, Judy Wyatt, Lavenia Bowman and Frances

Piazza; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Robertson.

Graveside services for Anthony Bivens, 37, of Fruitdale, Ala., were

conducted on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 from State Line City Cemetery, with

Pastor Tyrone White officiating.

Born on March 20, 1985, he died on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022 at South

Mississippi Correctional Institution.

He is survived by his mother, Edna Hardy; his father, J.C. Bivens, Jr.;

his siblings, Quentin, Kalisha, Justin and Terrence Bivens; and his

nephews and nephews, Quindarius, Quentin, Jordan Bivens, Tiereni,

Kiersten and Bailey Bivens.

MICHAEL LEWIS

Jan. 31, 1962-Oct. 1, 2022

Graveside services for Michael Lewis, 60, of Shubuta, were conducted on

Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 from Altair Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor

Michael Scott officiating.

Born on Jan. 31, 1962, he was a Factory Worker.

He died on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his daughter, Kenshawn Nanna McCury of Laurel; and his

mother, Collier Cooley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Lewis; and his brother,

Dorthel Lewis.
