Graveside services for Pauline Foxworth, 93, of Waynesboro, will be at 9
a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 from West Shady Grove Cemetery, with
Rev. Tommy Davis and Rev. John Brown officiating.
Born in Wayne County on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1929 to Dewitt Talmadge Long,
Sr., and Verda Pitts Long, she was an avid Homemaker and spent her life
taking care of her family. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
She died on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 at Brookwood Villa Residential Center.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Ann
Foxworth, Ray and Linda Kaye Foxworth, Roy and Colleen Foxworth, Glenn
and Marleni Foxworth and Brian and Carrie Foxworth; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Hazel and Mike Evans and Pearl and Wayne Smith; three
sisters, Annie Lou Griffith, Geneva Kelly and Verda Voncille
"Bonnie" Long; a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Janet Long;
and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Elex Foxworth; her
father, Dewitt Talmadge Long, Sr.; her mother, Verda Pitts; two
brothers, Talmade Long and Leo Long; three sisters, Mary Nell Prince,
Myrtle Holcomb and Mattie McIlwain; and two grandsons, Brice Smith and
Donnie Foxworth.

KEITH EVANS BONNER
March 25, 1966-Aug. 6, 2022
Graveside services for Keith Evans Bonner, 56, of Waynesboro, will be at
11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 from Winchester Cemetery, with
Rev. Roger Douglas officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on
Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Born in Waynesboro on Friday, March 25, 1966 to Sammy Evans Bonner and
Eula Clark Bonner, he died on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 at his residence.
He is survived by his father, Sammy Evans Bonner of Giddings, Texas; his
stepmother, Gail Sharon Bonner of Giddings; two brothers and a
sister-in-law, Brian and Shana Bonner of Waynesboro and Schane and Amy
Bonner of The Colony, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his other, Eula Clark Bonner.

HERBERT E. RAMEY
July 7, 1941-Aug. 5, 2022
Funeral services for Herbert E. Ramey, 81, of Waynesboro, were conducted
on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 from First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, with
Dr. Steve Smith officiating.
Interment followed at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born on Monday, July 7, 1941 to the late Herbert E. Ramey, Sr., and Ruth
Clanton Ramey, he was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro, where he was a
member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro and an integral part of the
local business community.
Beginning as a teenager, he worked with his father and brother in
Waynesboro to establish and then expand Ramey's Grocery Store
locations across southern Mississippi and Alabama. Throughout his life,
he dedicated himself to the grocery business and was proud to have his
son and son-in-law continue the tradition of serving the grocery needs
of local communities.
Loved by all of those who knew him, he had a passion of life and enjoyed
spending his days at the grocery store, farming, hunting, fishing,
visiting the beach, cheering on Alabama football, watching the markets,
having a nice glass of wine and sharing quality with his ever-expanding
family.
He died on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital, surrounded by
his family.
He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Kimberly Ramey
and Mike Ford of Waynesboro, Herbert Bradford and Charlene Ramey of
Purvis and Heather Ramey, M.D. and Chris Haley of Fairhope, Ala.; his
sister, Ouida Draughn of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren and their
respective spouses, Nathan and Kristen Ford of Brandon, Holly and Alex
Bishop of Franklin, Tenn, Maggie Ford of Nashville, Tenn., Taylor and
Kristen Ramey, Ford and Laken Ramey and Lily Ramey, all of Purvis, and
Patrick Haley, Sam Haley and Ramey Haley, all of Fairhope; and three
great-grandchildren, Charlie Kate Ramey, Mary Ford Ramey and Parker
Ramey, all of Purvis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gilbert Ramey; his father,
Herbert E. Ramey, Sr.; his mother, Ruth Clanton Ramey; his son, Gilbert
Brian Ramey; and his brother, James Franklin "Jimmy" Ramey.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the University
of Alabama, Herbert Ramey Endowed Scholarship, Box 870101, Tuscaloosa,
AL 35486 to fund a scholarship awarded to University of Alabama sudents
form Mississippi, with preference given to those from Wayne County.

A memorial service for Ruby Busby, 92, of Waynesboro, was conducted on
Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022 from Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, with
Gary Blackledge and Eddie Brashier officiating.
Born in Wayne County on Monday, Sept. 2, 1929 to Jimmy Cochran and
Hattie C. Cochran, she was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witnesses. She had worked as a Secretary with Busby Furniture Store and
Dollar General.
She died on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at her residence.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mann Broadhead
of Laurel; three grandchildren and their respective spouses, Joseph and
Amanda Betts of Waynesboro, Leah Coffey of Los Angeles, Calif., and
Laura Lynn and Ricky Beasley of Jones County; five great-grandchildren,
Aaron Betts of Mobile, Ala., Michaela Betts of Waynesboro, Justin
Beasley, Jacob Beasley and Jordan Beasley, all of Jones County; and a
great-great-grandchild, Arrow Wilder Betts of Mobile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester E. Busby; her father,
Jimmy Cochran; her mother, Hattie C. Cochran; her son, Roland E. Busby;
four brothers, Samuel Warren Cochran, Willie Cochran, Rob Cochran and
Rolston Cochran; two sisters, Lennie Mae Douglas and Dalithacumi
Cochran; and an adopted brother, Horace Cochran.

Graveside services for Johnny Brent Johnson, 54, of State Line, were
conducted on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022 from Mt. Nebo Church Cemetery, with
Elder Eddie Simpson officiating.
Born on July 2, 1968, he was a Builder in the construction industry.
He died on Sunday, July 31 2022 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Pulissa Johnson; his children, Portia Clark,
Johnny Lockhart and Jada Johnson; his mother, Mittie Johnson; three
sisters, Venessa J. Roscoe, Eunice C. McBride and Jessica M. Brown; and
seven grandchildren, Kaleb Clark, Kendall Clark, Kaydnse Breland, Kyron
Davis, Saige Lockhart, Myles Lockhart and Kole Lockhart.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Earl Johnson.

Funeral services for Patricia Ilene Taylor, 69, of Waynesboro were
conducted on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral
Home, with Rev. Tommy Davis officiating.
Interment followed at Serenity Gardens.
Born on Friday, Sept. 12, 1952 in Clarksdale to James Thurston Bullard
and Lillie Victoria Bullard, she worked as a Lab Technician at Odom
Industries.
She died on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Taylor of Waynesboro; her brother,
Larry Wayne Bullard of Enid, Miss.; two sisters, LouAnn Kayda of Grenada
and Brenda Thames of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thurston Bullard; her mother,
Lillie Bullard; her son, Kerry Ivy; and three brothers, John Thurston
Bullard, Rodney Bullard and Charles Bullard.

Funeral services for Frankie Mae Williams, 95, of Mobile, Ala., were
conducted on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from Buckatunna First Baptist
Church, with Rev. Allen Allridge officiating.
Interment followed at Buckatunna Cemetery.
Born in Buckatunna on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1926 to Frank Sullivan and
Alice Elizabeth Sullivan, she was retired as an Office Clerk with
Buckatunna Water Works.
She died on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at SAAD Hospice in Mobile.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Williams of Mobile; two daughters and
a son-in-law, Carol Griffin of Pensacola, Fla., and Marilyn and Bill
Davis of Mobile; her sister, Alice Cunningham of Fort Walton Beach,
Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 18
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Williams; her father,
Frank Sullivan; her mother, Alice Elizabeth Sullivan; two daughters,
Sandra Williams and Glenda Overstreet; three brothers, Snooks Sullivan,
James Sullivan and Earl Sullivan; two sisters, Lorraine Douglas and
Annie Mae Lee; and two grandsons, John Williams and Lance LaPorte.
