IRMA JEAN CHAPMAN

Oct. 8, 1935-July 13, 2022

Funeral services for Irma Jean Chapman, 86, of Waynesboro, will be at 2

p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home,

with Rev. Fawzy Shorrosh officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m.

on Friday, July 15, 2022 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at White House

Cemetery.

Born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1935 to the late Edwin O. Smith

and Mattie Cochran Smith, she was a member of Chaparral Baptist Church.

She was retired as a Factory Worker with Wells Lamont.

She died on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Grover and Kathy

Hollingshead and James and Sue Hollingshead, both of Waynesboero, and

David and Kim Hollingshead of Leakesville; her daughter and son-in-law,

Kathy and Rusty Robinson of Waynesboro; two stepdaughters and their

respective spouses, Linda and William Cran and Michelle and Eddie Keyes,

all of Waynesboro; her brother, Willys Smith of Waynesboro; three

grandchildren and their respective spouses, Jerry Matthew and Ashley

Pitts of Waynesboro, Pagie Hollingshead of Waynesboro and Joshua and

Annebeth Holingshead of Wayensboero; eight great-grandchildren and a

host of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Chapman; her parents,

Edwin O. and Mattie C. Smith; a brother, Lavelle Smith; and a sister,

Lucille Lindsey.
