Graveside services for Connie L. Cooley, 71, of Waynesboro, were conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 from Maynor Creek Cemetery, with Dr. Andy Olson officiating.

Born in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 30, 1950 to Coleman Nevell Lindsey and Grace Lindsey, she was a member of Abundant Life Church. She had worked as a Secretary.

She died on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Janet Cooley of Hattiesburg; her daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Jimmy Beal of Waynesboro; her sister, Gladys Dempsey of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren and their respective spouses, Darian and Alex Sims, Gabriel Cooley, Isabella Pitts and Aidan Beal; and a great-grandchild, Cassie Sims.

She was preceded in death by her father, Coleman Nevell Lindsey; her mother, Grace Lindsey; and her brother, Roy Harmon.
