MARGARET ALENE COOK

Funeral services for Margaret Alene Cook, 83, of Leakesville, were

conducted on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Mickey McLendon officiating.

Interment followed at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Born in Waynesboro on Thursday, Oct. 20, 1938 to James Trigg and Eula

Mae Trigg, she was a member of East Salem Baptist Church. She was a

Homemaker.

She died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Greene Rural Nursing Home in

Leakesville.

She is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffery and

Connie Cook of Meridian and Stacy Cook of Leakesville; her brother and

sister-in-law, Jimmy and Ann Trigg of Waynesboro; three grandchildren,

Michelle Cook of Seattle, Wash., Brandie Rick of Meridian and Joshua

Cook of Leakesville; and a great-grandson, Dylan Ricks of Meridian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamonte Cook; her father,

James Trigg; her mother, Eula Mae Trigg; and her sister, Shirley

Pittman.
