Graveside services for Lonnie Ray Reynolds II, 34, will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 with an audio sermon by Rev. Phil Smith, with Rev. Randy Turner and Rev. Bobby Boutwell assisting.
Interment will follow at Strengthford First Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County.
Born on April 20, 1986 in Laurel, he resided in Biloxi.
He graduated from Northeast Jones High School, received an Associate of Arts degree from Jones County Junior College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He then received his Master of Science degree from William Carey University and was one semester away from completing his Doctorate of Professional Counseling degree at Mississippi College.
He worked at South Mississippi Regional Center at Long Beach and Oxford Options.
HIs heart was in helping people with special needs. He loved his family and had a rich sense of humor. One of his favorite places to be was on his family’s boat. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church of Laurel.
He died on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
He is survived by his wife, Camrin Reynolds; his parents, Lonnie Ray Reynolds, Sr., and Sheila B. Reynolds of Laurel; his maternal grandmother, Betty Overstreet Busby of Wayne County; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeffery Ray Reynolds of Laurel; and Richard Allen and Kim Reynolds of Gulfport; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Randy Gardner of Laurel; his uncle and aunt, Joe and Cindy Busby; and his uncle, Danny Busby of Wayne County.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jacob Hollie and Lilly Elizabeth Reynolds of Rose Hill; and his maternal grandmother, Alton B. Busby of Wayne County.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, Randy Gardner, Danny Busby, Jonathan Kelly and Garrett Ashley. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Busby.
