Funeral services for Cecil Lamar Graham, 92, of Shubuta, will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Brother Fred Toomey and Brother Tim Moore officiating. Visitation will take place from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Clear Creek Cemetery in Shubuta.
Born in Waynesboro on Thursday, July 17, 1927 to Robert “Bob” Graham and Genie Watts Graham, he was a Deacon and a faithful member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II.
He was retired as a Self-Employed Farmer. He was a Mason and was also a 32nd Degree Shriner.
He died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 at Queen’s City Nursing Center in Meridian.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil Glen and Barbara Graham and Ronnie Lamar and Carolyn Graham, all of Shubuta; a daughter, Glenda Graham of Meridian; a sister, Imogene Howze of Houston, Texas; two grandsons and their respective spouses, Anthony and Sherry Graham of Shubuta and Jason and Suzette Graham of Waynesboro; four great-grandchildren and their respective spouses, Brent and Susan Graham of Shubuta, Madison Byrd of Waynesboro, Amanda and Hunter Harlein of Shubuta and Addison Kidd of Georgia; three great-great-granchildren, Addison Byrd, Easton Byrd and Luke Graham; two step-grandchildren and their respective spouses, B.G. and Jamie Turner of New Orleans, La., and Tracy Turner of Shubuta; and four step-great-grandchildren, Brice Turner, Bobby Turner, Lennon Turner and Laney Turner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Bonner Graham; his father, Robert “Bob” Graham; his mother, Genie Graham; four brothers, Rodney Graham, Harold Graham, Brady Graham and Robert L. Graham; and three sisters, Lessie Stanley, Lola Stanley and Lillian Wynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clear Creek Baptist Cemetery Fund, 790 Waynesboro-Shubuta Rd., Shubuta, MS 39360.
