Funeral services for Evelyn “Mavie Sue” Mozingo, 87, of Waynesboro, will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Old Yellow Creek Cemetery in Wayne County.
Born in Meridian on Sunday, March 6, 1932, she was a member of Antioch Assembly of God Church. She worked as a Machine Operator at Wells Lamont Glove Factory.
She died on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 at Wayne General Hospital.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Virginia Mozingo of Waynesboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Tommy Davis of Waynesboro; her brother, Melvin Waller of Woodland, Texas; her sister, Edna Moody of Pasadena, Texas; her granddaughter and her spouse, Emily and Richie Freeman; her grandson, Joshua Davis; and three great-grandchildren, Trinity Lofton, Reece Freeman and Eli Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eliga Mozingo; her father, Richard Harris; her mother, Willie Emma Waller; two brothers, Ancel Harris and Archie Baggett; and a sister, Aniece Waller.
