Funeral services for Jeanette Cochran Malone, 77, of Waynesboro, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. John Sherheart and Rev. Chris Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born on Friday, May 1, 1936, she was a native of Waynesboro. A homemaker and member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church, she died on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Malone of Waynesboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sherry Cooley of Waynesboro and Phillip and Tina Cooley of Clara; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathey and John Taylor of Buckatunna; two brothers, Kerney Cochran of Mobile, Ala., and Cecil Cochran of Waynesboro; a sister, Genelle Stokley of Mobile; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Zettie V. Cochran; her father, Wesley Cochran; a brother, Russell Cochran; and two sisters, Geneva Nicholson and Genora Kittrell.
