DONALD EUGENE "OKIE" CRAIG

Graveside services for Donald Eugene "Okie" Craig, 75, of Waynesboro, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from West Shady Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating.

A native of Clay Center, Kan., he was retired as a heavy machine operator with G.B. Boots Smith. He died on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Craig of Waynesboro; his son, Roland Craight of Clay Center; two daughters, Jennie Craig and Jodi Wall, both of Topeka, Kan.; his stepdaughter, Donna Michelle Hinton of Waynesboro; a brother, Lauren Craig of Clay Center; a sister, Helen Craig of Clay Center; six grandsons, a granddaughter, two step-grandsons, three step-granddaughters and a step-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Craig; his father, Harry Craig; four brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Marty Wood, 83, of Waynesboro, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.

A native of Fruitdale, Ala., he was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church, he was retired as a general foreman with Masonite Corporation. He died on Friday, Marh 27, 2015 at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Ala.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Cathy Wood of Collierville, Tenn.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Liston Free of Orlando, Fla., Martha and Lamar White of Clara and Kim and Creg West of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Wood; his mother, Mary Wood; his father, Floyd Wood; two brothers, Cecil Wood and Delmar Wood; and a grandson, Marc Blankinship.
